The 2012 beam is scheduled for first delivery on Monday, May 7. Beam set-up
in M2 is starting April 30.

COMPASS Hall 888
The COMPASS experiment is located in the Experimental Hall North 2
(EHN2),
building 888, on the Prevessin site of CERN.
If you do
not have a CERN computing account, you need to register for a CERN external
account by going to
https://account.cern.ch/account/Externals
and following the three steps described on the web page.
Please put your name and institution in addition to your email
address into the registration form. With your newly created external account logon to
https://groups.cern.ch/Pages/GroupSearch.aspx?k=compass-shifts.
Click on "[Join/leave group]" for the "compass-shifts" group and
confirm that you want to add yourself as a member to the
"compass-shifts" group.
Your request has to be acknowledged so it might take a while until
you finally will be able to logon to the shift-signup web page.

Safety Information
Shifts during the 2012 run
Shifts are scheduled this year with 2 spectrometer shifters. The shifts take place in the hall 888 in the
control room HNB 411 (1-014) and HNB415 (1-016) from 0h to 8h
(overnight), from 8h to 16h (day) and
from 16h to 24h (evening) every day.

is used to keep track of all information related to data taking.
For the moment, the original is only available from CERN. However
a mirror is also
visible outside with password. The trigger rates can be followed also outside the Compass domain, on this link.
