At present, three institutes have taken up responsibility for the vessels, Dubna, Mainz, and Trieste.
Radiator vessel design for RICH1 and RICH2 and the cost estimates for the construction in the Dubna workshops will be done by Dubna engineers. The work will be started immediately after the approval of the COMPASS experiment at CERN, once the geometry and the assembling procedure for the MWPC are finalized. The modularity and the tilt of the MWPC planes have to be included in the existing specification list for the design.
The construction of the radiator vessels in Dubna will need funding from outside. Funding requests for RICH1 and for RICH2 have been submitted by Trieste and Mainz respectively.
