Report from the weekly coordinator: M. Leberig Period: 05/05/04 - 07/05/04 Summary: Serious spectrometer control by the shift lead to a quick revelation of still existing problemsw which in turn were then attacked by the experts. The overall spectrometer performance was thus steadily improving. Highlights: RICH filling could after some delay be started, DAQ improvements. RICH ==== * Noise test with fast circulation and nitrogen successful * Filling started at 12:00 07/05. To be finished at monday/tusday and followed by two days of filtering. Contaminations normal level! * Still some readout problems (to be attacked during the weekend) W45 === * the last chamber was put into position * all 6 chambers included in the readout (some problems with 274) Straws ====== * pulser tests started (station 3 & 4 done 5 & 6 still to be done) tested: - dead channels - timing ECAL ==== * work ongoing (debugging of hardware) 1000 channels ready 800 more channels expected to arrive 07/05 afternoon PVSS ==== * still some read panel (50% of the number which we had on 05/05) most of them due to missing hardware SPS === * Magnet cycle already running since wednesday night * Beam might come earlier than expected, e.g. wednesday 12/05 BMS === * station 1-4 from last year (to be checked) * station 5 assembled and tested GEM === * GEM11 flashed in the gem barack * gas lines and cables for the installed and flushing * Installation of GEM11 foreseen on tuesday 11/05 Target ====== * Te calibration ongoing. Polarisation to be started tusday 11/05. DAQ === * All detectors successfully included in DAQ (but ECAL, HCAL (testing), Silicon 5 (missing readout), GEM11 (not insatlled) * Problems still with: - RICH (hot link card ?) - ScifiD (spill buffer ?) - Straw? (still under dispute) - W45
