Project Proposal: The successful applicant will have contact with
       the complex Detector Control System of the COMPASS experiment,
       during the period of physics data taking. He/she will give
       support in the maintenance of the system, and is expected to
       fullfil small programming tasks. The implementation of alerts
       in monitored parameters of detectors; the management of the
       database where parameters values and alerts are stored; and the
       study of the system's performance are important goals of the 
       project.
Project Content in % (Physics/Engineering/Computing): 70% computing;
       30% physics
Project training value for the student: He/she will have close contact
       with supervisory tools used in a particle physics experiment;
       hardware and software for control and monitoring of equipments and
       environment parameters.
