With the current beam of 2 10^8 muons per 16.8s and an unpolarized LH2 or LD2 target of 2.5m length one can reach a luminosity of 1.3 10^32 /cm^2/s or 3 10^32/cm^2/s, respectively. Improvements on the beam will go in as a factor (talks of Garoby and Leberig). Additional detectors are needed for exclusive physics (e.g. a recoil detector as discussed in Nicole d'Hose talk). A summary of the performance of the COMPASS detector has been given.
