Minutes from target meeting held March 27 2015 in 892-1-B09 These minutes are available also from: http://wwwcompass.cern.ch/compass/detector/target/Minutes/2015/ a) On Monday connect water pipes to WKP4000 internal water cooled heat exchanger. Run helium-3 roots pumps empty from Wednesday evening to Thursday morning. Pump dry nitrogen gas from LN2 buffer dewar in the pump room from Thurday afternoon to Friday afternoon. The roots inlet pressure P1 was about 20 ubar during this operation and the zeolite filter heaters were switched on. On Friday afternoon replace leaking water connection with different type of pipe on bottom of the WKP4000. b) Weigh the ammonia target material socks 2014 in the pump room on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Close to stable value could be reached in 5 - 7 hours due to drying of the target material from nitrogen liquid. The socks had the labels Upstream1, Upstream2 and Downstream1. The temperature measured from the top with a pt100 thermometer stayed below 86 K during weighing. c) Fabrice: test solenoid and dipole magnets ramping up and down. The field rotation procedure is not yet fully automatized. New program module for the magnet SCADA system is under way. The field shift by +-10 A for NMR baseline taking was discussed. Recovery procedure from slow discharge is planned. The target polarization could be saved by ramping up the dipole field if solenoid field starts to go down. This procedure should work also from dipole to solenoid field. d) Kaori: start mounting new NMR coils on the proton free target cells. Cut the miniature coaxial cables on the bottom of the target cells to approximately the same length that was used in 2014. This should minimize the need of re-adjusting the external coaxial cable length.
