Minutes from target meeting held July 18 2014 in 892-2-009 These minutes are available also from: http://wwwcompass.cern.ch/compass/detector/target/Minutes/2014/ a) Replace DN250 Silicone rubber MVQ o-rings on helium-3 pumping line with viton FPM o-rings. The diffusive leak is not visible any more at room temperature. Big leak in the helium-4 pumping line found. The o-ring connection on the concrete wall had a leak too due to misalignment of flanges, but this leak was fixed. Install all the electronic pressure gauges on the dilution cryostat top. This includes the helium-3 condensation pressure P10, helium-4 evaporator pressure P12, isolation vacuum pirani PVAC1 and full range gauge PVAC2. The helium-3 evaporator pressure gauge PV8 was installed on the Jura side flange. b) After new intervention the pump room air conditioning started to work normally and can maintain temperature at about +17 C. c) The LN2 dewars for filling the target material storage dewars were discussed. The wheels on the old LN2 dewar need to be replaced and new added to safer moving of the dewar. d) Fabrice: the normal and diesel network power is available on the the target platform. 8 thick power cables from the Jura side patch panel to the patch panel under the target platform have been installed. The signal cables from the magnet connectors to the connection box under the target platform need to connected before pulling the dilution cryostat cables. Work going on for the isolation vacuum diffusion pump electropneumatic valve control system. Small improvement to the pump control system foreseen by adding a PT100 thermometer to monitor the pump temperature and an additional water flow switch. e) Norihiro: PLC substation under the target platform connected to the 48VDC. Communication to the COMPASS DCS system tested. Need to add more input channels to the PLC. Install two full range gauges on the magnet isolation vacuum with a Bourdon manometer. The full range gauges have a strong permanent magnet and need to be fixed carefully under the target platform. For this reason they can not be too close to the magnet. f) Kaori: for communication between the NMR PC and magnet system a Datalogging and Supervisory Control (DSC) module was proposed. Preparing long connection cables between NMR racks in the control room and under the target platform. Water hoses for the NMR cables and rack were discussed. g) Martin: COMPASS MySQL database receiving data from NMR and PLC Oracle database. New user interface done with PHP/Java script under preparation.
