Minutes from target meeting held August 1 2014 in 892-2-009 These minutes are available also from: http://wwwcompass.cern.ch/compass/detector/target/Minutes/2014/ a) Connect dilution cryostat pressure gauge and thermometer cables. The pressure gauge extension cables were pulled too, but the end connectors need still to be soldered. For the vertical screen flow controller a new extension cable needs to be produced. Remove unused magnet and flow meter cables between control room and platform. b) The diffusion pump for the isolation vacuum was reinstalled with a modified connection flange to allow the butterfly valve open completely. The operation of the butterfly valve was tested. The control system allows bypassing the diffusion pump now to pump the pre-vacuum with a rotatry pump first. The vacuum pump connections were helium leak tested after installation. Oil change of the 2033 vacuum rotary pump was discussed. Possibility to install a manual gate valve between the diffusion pump system and magnet vacuum pumping port was discussed. c) Magnet cabling mostly finished. The helium recovery line to be connected after pressure test of the long pipe going to the helium liquefier. d) Norihiro: replace broken needle valve motor NV3 limit switch. The span of the motor is 9 turns. The NV2 motor has a broken gear box and needs to be replaced. New spare Siemens S7 300 modules received. e) Kaori: produce new analog signal cables from the target control room to the platform. These cables were pulled through the old microwave guide holes in the concrete wall. The ADC board in the control room has now 10 differential input channels while the previous system used 8 differential and 2 single ended channels. Location of the Q-meter boxes on or below of the target platform was discussed. Presently the Q-meters are magnetically shielded with iron sheets.
