Minutes from target meeting held April 29 2011 in 892-1-B09 These minutes are available also from: http://wwwcompass.cern.ch/compass/detector/target/Minutes/2011/ a) On Monday disconnect water pipes from helium-3 roots #4 internal heat exchanger. Test the heat exchanger for water leaks. Close helium-3 roots #7 WGK 1000 SP outlet and gas cooling lines with blind flanges. Pump vacuum to the volume closed by the main gate valve. Stable 0.15 mbar pressure reached. Leak test the pumps #1, #4 and #7 with helium leak detector. Put helium into the roots #4 internal water cooling pipes. No helium leaks observed. Pump the dilution cryostat also from the mixing chamber side and leak test the helium-3 pumping line. Leak test the helium-3 return line. Fill the mixing chamber volume with helium. No leaks to isolation vacuum observed. b) Norihiro: three of the helium-3 roots water cooled heat exchangers already repaired and ready to be mounted back into the pump frame. Some water leaks still need to be repaired with a glue. The helium leaks are being fixed by soft soldering. More precise position of the helium leaks was determined in two units on Thursday. The largest one was repaired and tested for helium leaks on Friday by Cryolab. c) New ammonia received from Bochum on Tuesday evening. d) Gerhard: test the Q-meters and NMR DAQ. Faulty 5 V power supply probable reason for bad Yale card baseline in coil #10. e) Thursday sudden water leak from the isolation vacuum diffusion pump water cooling pipe. Fabrice: the water leak fixed on Friday. New diffusion pump from Edwards expected in August. f) Fabrice: new time planning for the run start taking into account the delay due to the repair of the pump system. Magnet control system tests should be done soon, but the magnet power supplies can not be switched on yet. The magnet is ready for LN2 precooling. g) Hiroki: new cable installed for the remote controlled microwave attenuator. h) Shift organization and reduced check list were discussed.
