Minutes from target meeting held March 25 2011 in 892-1-B09 These minutes are available also from: http://wwwcompass.cern.ch/compass/detector/target/Minutes/2011/ a) On Monday open the main cooling water valves from tap water to the pump room after winter shutdown. Open the water valves to the helium-3 roots. Water leak from most of the heat exchanger boxes between two adjacent pumps. Open the cover box to inspect the damage. Remove two of the heat exchangers on Tuesday and Wednesday. The CERN workshop contacted for repair on Wednesday. Also EN/CV contacted on Thursday for help to hard solder the copper pipes. First repaired unit received on Friday. The unit was tested up to 4 bar after re-soldering. Unmount third unit on Friday. b) Check target holder NMR coils, thermometers and heaters. All seem to be ok. Leak test target holder vacuum with a leak detector. No leaks found. Leak test also helium-3 vapor pressure thermometer bulb. No leak found. The position of the thermometers on the target cells was discussed. c) Fabrice: helium-4 pump maintenance mostly done. This included oil change, change of oil filter and check of the instrumentation and pressure controlled valves. The cold box is prepared for helium liquefaction. d) Norihiro: new thermocouple microwave power meter expected from Yamagata in two weeks. Travel plans from Yamagata to CERN complicated due to the recent tsunami damage. e) Yuri: test microwave counter. f) Kaori: polarization data is read from the Oracle database by the DCS system. In the empty cell calibration November - December 2010 the DC offset (Yale) card did not work properly for coil #10.
