Minutes from target meeting held November 18 2011 in 892-1-D20

a) The thermal equilibrium calibration at 1.0 K finished on Sunday evening
23:20. Ramp down the magnet to zero field to see the behavior of resistive
thermometers in the mixing chamber. Start pumping out helium. The mixing 
chamber empty Monday 14:00. The helium-4 evaporator empty on Monday 22:00. 
Tuesday morning 9:00 35 K reached in the target holder. Pressurize to 
atmospheric pressure at 11:00 and remove the target holder from the mixing 
chamber. Unload to target material to socks in LN2 bath. Warm up the target 
holder to room temperature to remove any water. At 15:30 cool down the empty 
target holder in LN2 and insert into mixing chamber. Pump out air and helium 
mixture and fill in helium gas.

b) On Wednesday morning start helium-4 evaporator rotary pump. Start 
condensing helium into the mixing chamber. Start helium-4 roots pump at noon.
The mixing chamber filled with liquid helium at 16:00. Prepare the helium-3
thermometer. Ramp up the solenoid field at 16:30 and start empty cell
thermal equilibrium calibration at temperature of 1.5 K. On Friday morning 
9:00 switch on one more roots pump for 1.3 K calibration.
  
c) Preparation of the target for the Drell-Yan program was discussed.

d) Takahiro: successful test of an ultrasonic motor for a remote controlled
microwave attenuator in 2.5 T magnetic field at Yamagata. 

e) Werner: FP7 SPINMAP meeting will take place at Linz/Rhein December 
6 - 7.

f) Run 2012 and its preparation was discussed.
