Minutes from target meeting held May 30 2008 in 892-2-009 These minutes are available also from: http://wwwcompass.cern.ch/compass/detector/target/Minutes/2008/ a) Proton target polarization meeting to take place on Wednesday June 11 at 10:00 in 892-1D-20, see http://indico.cern.ch/conferenceDisplay.py?confId=35218 Contributions are welcome. b) Kaori: calculate Q-meter response to large polarized proton signals. The SMC Q-meter model with coaxial cable is used. Real signal amplitude in the measurements needs still to be determined. c) Q-meter stability during the TE-calibration was discussed. Plot on Q-curve center frequency is in elog. Less than 50 ppm drift in November TE-calibration. The NMR-rack temperature recorded by DCS could be checked as well as the DC-parameters in the NMR-signal files. d) Jaakko: update polarized target NMR tools HOWTO http://wwwcompass.cern.ch/compass/detector/target/NMR/Ntoolsdoc/index.htm e) Jaakko: simulate November 2007 TE-calibration and the two empty cell measurements for coil #6. This gives an error of 1.67 % for the November TE-calibration and 5.21 % and 6.23 % for the two empty cell measurements. The histogram in elog. Systematic error needs to be added to these numbers. f) Jaakko: 2007 polarizabilities of coils 1 - 10 compared to cell average from Kaoris data -0.12 %, +0.67 %, -0.52 %, -0.08 %, +2.07 %, +0.11 %, -2.17 %, -0.40 %, -0.77 % and +1.13 %. g) Yuri: polarization error for each cell is reduced by square root of number of sampling coils.
