a) Norihiro estimated the figure of merit for one week of NH3 transverse run. 
The relaxation time can be expected to be about 400 h in 0.42 T field.
This means that the polarization will drop from 90 % to 60 % in one week.
Three cases were considered: continuous data taking without re-polarization,
one re-polarization in the middle and two re-polarizations. The overall FOM
is almost the same for all the three cases. Thus rebuilding relaxed 
polarization is not expected to help. Jaakko: the polarization relaxation
is expected to be linear in time in accordance with spin temperature theory
(COMPASS note 2004-19). There is also an old NIMA paper from Tapio which 
considers similar optimization for re-polarization (paper is available only 
from library).
