Minutes from target meeting held April 28 2004 in 888 a) Nicolas Bourgeois found a problem in the solenoid power supply transistor bank. Repair is expected on Tuesday May 4. b) Miroslav Finger invited the target group to participate to the "Advanced Studies Institute on Symmetries and Spin" held in Prague July 5 - 10. Franco Bradamante invited the COMPASS collaboration to participate to the SPIN 2004 held at Trieste October 10 - 16. For both proceeding papers are accepted. c) Yuri did calculations on the Oxford-Danfysik magnet solenoid field. d) The power from the EIO tubes was measured to be 2 W at platform for both upstream and downstream. The Bochum IMPATT diode system is available for more precise frequency tuning of the microwaves. With the losses from the control room 0.3 - 0.5 W of power can be expected at the platform. e) Stepan is mounting more pt100 thermometers on the roots pumps. All the motors are covered to help in identification of cooling fan failure. f) The NA cryogenic operators have measured 10 ppm oxygen level in the returning helium gas from the polarized target when the Busch 3631 rotary pump is running. No complaints about impurities. g) Kaori checked the NMR coil tuning. Everything seems to be ok. The NMR system is ready for TE-calibration. h) Jaakko is preparing connection from solenoid and dipole current measurement to the DCS. The idea is to use the same ELMB that is already used for reading pt100s on the platform to read the voltage from the magnet system. Grounding and common-mode-voltage issues are to be discussed with DCS group.
