Minutes from target meeting held May 27 2004 in 888 a) The power was lost from the target control room on Monday night at 22:10. The platform and pump room power was not affected. No polarization was lost. b) The maximum polarization obtained is about the same like in run 2003 with the similar buildup time. Now coil #1 in upstream is showing lowest polarization, while 2003 coil #3 showed the lowest polarization. Two possible explanations: different mutual coupling between the coils or difference in target material inside the coils. Kaori installed correction factors for polarization measured with negative solenoid current. DCS temperature data of NMR-rack during TE-calibration period was not well recorded. It is difficult to conclude anything about the NMR system temperature from that period. During the last 7 days the Q-meter cooling water outlet has stayed between 24.0 and 26.2 C. The minimum temperature is reached around 8 o'clock and the maximum around 20 o'clock. The effect of closing the primary cooling water could be tested during the next machine development. c) The frequency of field rotations was discussed. There was a proposal to reduce the number of rotations from 3 rotations/day to 1 rotation/day. The automatic computer controlled rotation with manual baseline taking at the end takes 34 minutes. The additional 2 - 4 minutes go to filling of the field rotation check list and manual starting of the rotation. d) Yuri proposed to record temperatures of roots motor pt100 thermometers for later reference. e) The dilution cryostat PLC CP 343-1 IT needs to be registered as mail/web server at CERN due to network security reasons.
