Minutes from weekly target meeting 30th of May 2003 in 888 a) The Q-curves were shifted when the mixing chamber heater filter/fuse box was connected. The original Q-curves were recovered after removing the box. b) Yuri proposed electron nuclear double resonance measurement for electron spin relaxation time. c) The magnet isolation vacuum gauge connection was modified to allow installation of the SciFi station 3 to new support structure which is not mechanically connected to the magnet any more. d) Low intensity electron beam from 27 May to 1 June was used for COMPASS spectrometer calorimetry calibration. A short pion test beam was used to test the spectrometer for hadron setup on 30 May. e) The microwave leakage was tested by polarising only one target cell and observing polarisation build up on the other cell. Typically with +32 % upstream polarisation done in 10 hours downstream polarisation of +4 % was observed. f) New TE calibration was decided to confirm the results from the first calibration. g) Yuri said that the first moments analysis with outer coils shows good results. Kaori plotted the ratio of measured areas between coil #3 and other coils. The ratio stays very well constant. Yuri said that this excludes the possibility to have any error in the TE-calibration. Jaakko said that the ratios should be compared to ratios obtained from TE-calibration in both positive and negative fields. The microwave power distribution is homogeneous along the axis of the microwave cavity. h) Norihiro measured the cooling power of the dilution cryostat to be 2 W with 8.0 V or 10 V still heater. In this case 99% of the circulating Helium is 3He. 300 mW. Yuri 0.3 mW/cm^3. Jaakko 3He rich phase always above target material inside mixing chamber, thus no big effect expected from removing 3He. Heat leak from radiation from TH shields: were measured to be > 3.0 K, 1.1 K and 280 mK. Heat leak from cavity. Single shot operation for polarisation. i) New cell for the oxygen analyser. The pins were broken while changing the cell.
