Minutes from target meeting held on 14th of February 2003 in 892-1-B09 a) Yuri showed frequency shifts for 2D, 6Li, 7Li NMR-signals versus D-polarisation difference between up- and downstream target cells. Proton data needs to be added. The frequency shifts are averaged over all coil pairs symmetrically, e.g. #1 and #10, #2 and #9 etc. 2001 EST data was used. Jaakko asked about possibility to use 2002 data to get a new handle to the polarisation. Only top of the NMR-peak was fitted to get center frequency. Yuri said that the Kramers-Kronig relation is valid only for linear system and asked if we could measure also dispersion component of the NMR-signal. Kaori said that it can be done but needs 90 degree cable. Jaakko said that the nonlinearity of the electronics will become easily visible and measuring the nonlinearity of the spin system is more difficult. b) Jaakko said that the summary table Kaori showed in the collaboration meeting indicated quite high negative polarisation for the upstream target cell. If the values are correct we made a new negative polarisation record. Otherwise there can still be small problem in the analysis of the polarisation. Yuri said that for positive polarisation about +56 - 57 % was obtained and for negative about - 48 %. Kaori made comparison plots between her and Yuris results. Upstream coils #1 and #2 showed very similar results. c) Jaakko proposed measurement of the target cell cold volumes for packing factor determination. More detailed analysis of the material inside target cells needs to be done including Helium and coil material. Basically we can use 2001 EST data to determine ratio between 7Li/6Li and proton/deuterium. d) Miroslav said that Srnka will be at CERN from 31st March for 3 weeks to cool down magnet. Miroslav asked if the Sun computer problem that happened twice during field rotation last summer has been solved. The problem seems to have been related to the shift persons way to use the program and has not been seen since. e) Fabrice asked about the possibility to install new English Windows and LabVIEW to NMR PC. RICH group gives us their extra oxygen analyser to check the purity of the returning Helium gas. f) Kaori was asked by the offline group to produce data table of the polarisation. It should include time, solenoid current, average upstream polarisation, error in upstream polarisation, coils #1 - #5, average 6Li, average 7Li etc. Error still to be discussed, preliminary +-2 % absolute. g) LN2 line was discussed with Pirotte and Jouve. Jouve will install an insulated copper pipe on the floor level in the pump room. There will be a manual valve next to the LN2 trap. An oxygen deficiency meter with alarm could be installed into the pump room.
