Minutes from target meeting held on 9th of May 2003 in 888 a) Online registration to the 9th International Workshop on Polarised Solid Targets and Techniques taking place in Bad Honnef in October 27 - 29 is now possible from Bochum web page: http://poltarg03.ep1.rub.de/Register.html The link to the workshop web page: http://poltarg03.ep1.rub.de/ Deadline for abstracts is June 15 and for proceeding manuscripts December 15. b) Gerhard and Kaori fine-tuned the Q-meters. First TE-calibration at 1.4 K gives about 1 % errors to all coils. Sometimes jumps in the baseline data are seen leading to jumps in the TE area. The deuterium calibration will be done also at lower temperature of 1.1 K with both positive and negative magnet solenoid current. In addition short TE-calibration for 6Li and 7Li will be done. c) Gunter promised to buy a new cell to the oxygen analyser. d) The motherboard of pccodt10 monitoring dilution cryostat died on Wednesday night. Fabrice rented a new PC from CERN and reinstalled all the software. e) Technical support from EP/TA3 to the magnet was stopped after initial start up of the system. From now on if there are problems help to the magnet system has to be negotiated in high level through the COMPASS technical coordinator. f) From TCR information about general power failure in the experimental area will be received to the target coordinator phone. g) In the dilution cryostat roots pump system a delayed water flow switch security loop was implemented with the PLC. The roots will stop only if the water flow is off more than 60 s. Norihiro asked if a similar system is going to be implemented to the magnet PSUs.
